BAR “EL FLORIDITA” - LA HABANA/CUBA
Ernest Hemingway fréquanta souvent ce bar restaurant de la rue de l’Obispo. Il s’assit toujours au meme endroit où fut inauguré un buste en son honneur en 1954. Là il inventa un cocktail à base de Daiquiri avec son nom, “Papa Double” ou “Hemingway Spécial”, une variante à base de rhum blanc cubain, jus de pamplemousse, marasquin et glace. Il créa au “Floridita” un cercle d’amis cubains qui se réunissaient autour de lui dans son coin. Il se fit aussi accompagner par d’illustres amis.

Ernest Hemingsway often visited this bar and restaurant in Obispo Street. He always sat in the same place where his bust was inaugurated in 1954. Here he invented his own cocktail based on dacquiri, the “Double Papa” or “Hemingway Special”, a variety with white Cuban rum, grapefruit juice, marasquino cherry and ice. In the “Floridita” he assembled a cercle of Cuban friends around his seat in the corner. He also brought along some famous visitors.
